10 | Daniel Holtzclaw: Florene Mathis Allegations
Sunday Sep 15, 2019
Sunday Sep 15, 2019
Investigative Timeline - August 13, 2014: This episode starts with Oklahoma Sex Crimes Detective Rocky Gregory contacting "Shannon", a 23-year old bikini fitness model whom patrol officer Daniel Holtzclaw had run through the police department's databases on a couple of occasions.
Det. Kim Davis identifies 53-year-old Florene Mathis as a potential 'victim' of Daniel Holtzclaw. After learning Mathis is currently in the Oklahoma County Jail on a assault with a deadly weapon complaint, she and detective Homan decide to pay her a visit. Their interview is audio and video recorded.
Mathis alleges that she has been stopped by Holtzclaw on three occasions and that she was groped on the last.
Det. Davis' interview with Mathis uncovers many discrepancies in her story - yet she ignores all of them and is convinced Mathis is victim number four in her investigation. And, she knows there is at least one more victim, because she has yet to find out whom the DNA found on officer Holtzclaw's uniform pants belongs to.

Bates Investigates, Season One, "In Defense of Daniel Holtzclaw."
Investigative Timeline - August 13 - 17, 2014: In this episode, Oklahoma City Police Sex Crimes Detective Rocky Gregory has identified 41-year old Tabitha Barnes as a possible victim of patrol officer Daniel Holtzclaw.
Det. Gregory's first attempt to interview Barnes on Aug. 13th is cut short after Barnes is unable to remain conscious and coherent.
Det. Gregory continues his interview of Barnes just four days later. While the first interview was allegedly not audio recorded, the second was. You will hear that complete interview in this episode.
Barnes alleges that on two occasions officer Daniel Holtzclaw made her expose her breasts to him while confronting her on her own property.
Barnes also alleges that Holtzclaw illegally entered her home while she was away.

Sunday Oct 13, 2019
Bates Investigates, Season One, "In Defense of Daniel Holtzclaw." Episode 12
Investigative Timeline - August 13 - 17, 2014: In this episode, I take a close look at the events that occurred on February 27, 2014.
Tabitha Barnes alleges that then Oklahoma City Police patrol officer Daniel Holtzclaw stopped her in front of her house.
During the stop, Barnes alleges that Holtzclaw forced her to expose herself and then touched both of her bare breasts.
Later that same day, Holtzclaw responded to a burglary at Barnes' residence after she came home and witnessed a man stealing her microwave.
I uncover several inconsistencies in Barnes' allegations and more evidence Oklahoma City Sex Crimes Detective Rocky Gregory is not being completely transparent in his investigation.

Sunday Nov 03, 2019
Bates Investigates, Season One, "In Defense of Daniel Holtzclaw." Episode 13
Investigative Timeline - August 13 - 17, 2014: In this episode, I take a close look at the events that allegedly occurred on March 25th and 26th, 2014.
Tabitha Barnes alleges that then Oklahoma City Police patrol officer Daniel Holtzclaw, for a second time, coerced her into exposing her breasts.
Barnes also alleges that Holtzclaw illegally entered her home and then harassed her boyfriend.
The next day, Holtzclaw allegedly showed back up at her home and asked to come inside. A request that Barnes denied.
Barnes even claims that she moved out of her home the next day and her and her children went into hiding for three-months.
That said, I uncover several inconsistencies in Barnes' allegations and more evidence Oklahoma City Sex Crimes Detective Rocky Gregory is not being completely transparent in his investigation.

Sunday Nov 10, 2019
Bates Investigates, Season One, "In Defense of Daniel Holtzclaw." Episode 14
Investigative Timeline - August 14, 2014: In this episode, I take a close look at the events that allegedly occurred on May 26, 2014.
Carla Johnson alleges that then Oklahoma City Police patrol officer Daniel Holtzclaw, fondled her breasts and then placed his hand inside her pants and touched her vagina.
Johnson changes her story with each telling. Including claiming there was a voicemail from the night of the event that proved it occurred. That voicemail was later revealed not to exist.
Johnson also changed her story from being fondled on top of her shirt to Holtzclaw putting his hand underneath her shirt.

Monday Nov 11, 2019
Monday Nov 11, 2019
Bates Investigates, Season One, "In Defense of Daniel Holtzclaw." Episode 15
Investigative Timeline - August 15, 2014: In this episode, I introduce you to the allegations of NE Oklahoma City resident Carla Raines.
According to Oklahoma City Sex Crimes Detective Rocky Gregory's official investigative report, Raines immediately comes forward with allegations she was sexually assaulted by then Oklahoma City Police Officer Daniel Holtzclaw.
But, does she really? Or, does she deny being a victim at least 7 times before being coerced by Det. Gregory to implicate Daniel Holtzclaw.
In this episode you will hear the never before aired interview between Det. Gregory and Carla Raines.
During the interview, you hear Det. Gregory mention the police procedure called 'The Clasp and Shake.'
Is it this humiliating police procedure that so many of the accusers are referencing when they claim they are made to expose themselves?

Bates Investigates, Season One, "In Defense of Daniel Holtzclaw." Episode 18: Lots of Liars.
Investigative Timeline - August 22, 2014: In this episode, Oklahoma City patrol officer Daniel Holtzclaw has been arrested and is being held on a $5-million cash bond. At the same time his arrest is breaking news around the country. With the news comes a flood of accusers, many of which not even the prosecutors are willing to believe. This episode takes a closer look at a couple of those accusers: Shaneice Barksdale, Shakara Walker and Terry Roy Dunn Sr.
Barksdale was the only admitted false accuser, out of at least 8, that was ever charged with a crime. She was later convicted of making a false police report. Dunn was the only male to admittedly make a false report against officer Holtzclaw.
You will also hear from Oklahoma City Police Chief Bill Citty, in news reports regarding officer Holtzclaw's arrest.

Bates Investigates, Season One, "In Defense of Daniel Holtzclaw." Episode 19: Rosetta Grate Allegations.
Investigative Timeline - August 27, 2014: In this episode, Oklahoma City patrol officer Daniel Holtzclaw has been sitting in the Oklahoma County Jail with a $5-million bond for about a week. Oklahoma City Sex Crimes Detectives Kim Davis and Valarie Homan locate another potential victim on their infamous "list." That individual is identified as 38-year old Rosetta Grate.
In this episode, you will hear the actual audio from Grate's two jailhouse interviews with detectives.
This episode is long at over an hour and the audio echoes and can be hard to understand (recorded in a small cinderblock room). This episode was posted for transparency. You can skip this issue if you choose, as I will be dissecting it and playing relevant portions in episode 20.
